I love how my first attempt at this POP UP/OPEN card turned out! I'm getting better & better at the coloring! I need to get the grass die - that would have been a nice added feature. I will improve with practice! TWEET! TWEET! To the first day of SPRING :)
I've been working on this project for over a year - tried 2 different types of soldering irons, melted through the tip of one - then had a hard time with the copper paper/foil - it's been a mess - but finally I got it to work & I'm so excited! This is the first set of charms I made (Front & Back) - I have a pile of more to make on my craft desk. So fun & excited to wear them!
I love the Winnie & Walter stencils I got! The inspiration comes from Laura Basson on YouTube - LOVE her rainbow colored cards & she is so fun to watch/listen to, as she creates. Used the Stathmore Bristol paper for these too - Loving them!
Picked up some Strathmore Bristol smooth paper at Micheals (Half Off) & tried to do some ink blending on it. I think I like this paper better than Neenah for distress ink blending - It was nice! I used my new distress inks for the background & then used the different "HUGS" dies I have - I love how these turned out. So Bright & Cheery for some March/April birthdays!
Trying to get back into the swing of things & still working on my craft room organization - seems like I get some new product or item & feel the need to TOTALLY overhaul the room - but I think I'm narrowing down what works & doesn't work for me. I need some time to get my Birthday Cards started for March & April (Busiest months for our family & birthday celebrations). Then I need to get focused on my scrapbooking & get those books caught up. Hopefully, I'll have more pictures to post of that soon! We have a little break between basketball & baseball season, so I'm hoping to get some serious scrapbooking done in that window of time. The spring warm weather has been a delight & so enjoyable. I hope it finds you & your family well & looking forward to fresh starts & new beginnings!
My first attempts at true watercoloring - not too bad - not happy with the orange transition into the green/blues - kinda muddy brown - but I think it looks okay on this card - you can't see it in the picture - but I put Spectrum Noir over the whole thing & it adds just a little bit of "POP" that makes it a SPECIAL card!
I love the YOU MATTER set - background stamp & die from Simon Says Stamp - it's so perfect for my motivational personality! LOVE to send notes of inspiration! This turned out better than I thought!
Many of my pages need just a little more room for a few more pictures or journaling, so I add a little fold out or another flip out page so I can squeeze in all the pictures I want to save to capture the memories of the event.
Trying to get back into the swing of things after the Christmas Break. Unexpectedly lost my dad the Monday before Christmas, that adds another whole layer to the "Winter Blues". We are surrounded by friends that care & family that is supportive. I look forward to getting back into my creative groove.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed; for I am your God. I will strengthen you & help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Aren't these dragons ADORABLE? Sweet & so magical! Another set of stamps from MFT & my Prisma Marker Coloring.
