I used a scalloped border die (not sure manufacturer) added some background paper from my stash, added foam tape to the back of that then adhered it to my card base. Cut the BELIEVE from Neenah 110 lb Cardstock that I had distressed inked. Added some sequins
I used the MFT Scalloped Frame die to cut the box & used some paper from my stash - then cut the "thanks" from 110 lb Neenah white cardstock & embossed 3 times with gold or silver to create a layered effect - then I splattered the cards with distress ink that I added water to on my acrylic block.
Got some Tim Holtz watercolor paper & tried my hand at the watercolor "SMOOSHING" - I think it turned out okay for the first time - the green @ the top is a little too "SQUARE" for me - but I was happy it didn't turn into BROWN mush!
I'm In LOVE! I love, love, love this stamp - then when I started to color it - I feel in even more love. I don't have markers (Husband Christmas Gift Hint) so I used my distress ink & watercolored. My FIRST attempt at doing this & coloring an image & I FELL IN LOVE! Of all the cards I made this week (so far) this is my FAVORITE!
I am hoping for a HUGE WINTER STORM this weekend so we can hunker down, drink hot chocolate & stay "STRANDED" at home - movies, family, crafting - NOTHING BETTER! This was one of my new backgorund dies - it was a BEAST to add foam tape to, I need to find a different way - that was HORRIBLE - The warm wishes needs a little bigger circle I think - But I didn't want to take away from the blended BLUE SKY background. Still working to improve my sequin placement & color choices - not 100% that I've figured that out yet.
Trying out that Desert Storm Cardstock & a new background stamp I got from my BlackFriday shopping!!! I'm addicted to my ink blending of the distressed inks - so cool to see them "BLEND" & so much fun. I need to get brave & use the water & spritz/splash - just haven't gotten to do that yet.
I got some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock & I'm LOVING it - this was a new die/stamp set I got from a very generous SPLITCOASTSTAMPER that was destashing. Just trying to adventure out & do some new things. I'm loving the time I have in the evening to craft in my new room.
You can't tell that I used the MINC for the "LOVE" sentiment, it's in GOLD FOIL. I ink blended, then cut the frame, added some matching glittery cardstock & then some sequins to top it off I think it turned well & I love the color combination - something I did not plan when I started - HEE HEE
